Things are getting hot in Malta....
The temperatures are soaring to nearly 40 degrees....
And the heat of love for Kenya is increasing the load....
We are preparing the luggages and the things we will carry. We will make a list of all the things we will carry. Especially we have about five big luggages to carry medicines, hospital equipment etc
We are told, depending whom we find at the Nairobi Airport, that some customs officers would ask for donations otherwise we would have a difficult time to pass the airport controls. In Nigeria, some years ago, when I was accompanying a team of about 40 volunteers, the customs officers blocked our cargo unless we gave them some 'donations'.
Could you send a representative to help us pass through customs at the airport?
Or would it be advisable to have an official letter on your behalf stating that we are on a missionary work in your Diocese and that the things we will carry are for the Diocese?
Yesterday I met the Medical Team. They are working very very hard. Everyone is eager to make this missionary experience a full commitment to God's love for us and through us. We are bringing various types of medicines and hospital things. I saw the programme including visits to parishes etc. We do appreciate if you arrange for us to visit the most serious cases you have in the Diocese especially the poorest of the poor wherever they would reside.
We are there to be of service - in whatever manner we can.
I am concerned with the Builders Team. We sent you a plan for the orphange etc. Is it good? Can we begin it? Michael Attard sent you some calculations to make this dream come true. I presume that the more local workers we have we can built it and most important that they own it and feel that's their own.
